A South Carolina police officer went above and beyond the call of duty for a toddler who thought calling 911 would bring the fashion police.
Two-year-old Aliyah was having trouble getting her pants on, and being taught that the police are the ones to call when you are in need of help, she called 911 for assistance, WSPA reported.
Greenville County Sheriff’s Deputy Martha Lohnes responded to the call and saved the day.
“The door opened up and she comes running out the front with half a pant leg on and she’s just like, ‘Hey!’” Lohnes told WSPA.
After the officer helped fix her pants, Aliyah asked Lohnes for a hug, which the officer happily gave, she said.
Although the youngster’s parents didn’t know she made the call, her mother, Pebbles Ryan, said she did teach her who to call in case of an emergency and was surprised that she remembered.
