The most disturbing is surely that of Ricardo Lopez who attempted to kill Icelandic singer and musician Björk in September 1996. He filmed himself constructing a letter bomb in a hollowed-out book, which was he intent on mailing to her with the sole purpose of maiming her. Upon opening the book, the device was designed to explode and disfigure the reader.
The final aspect of his plan was to commit suicide after the bomb was sent.
