Britney Spears Just Released Some Absolutely Tragic News…

Britney Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari have shared tragic news with fans.

The pop star said on Instagram she has suffered a miscarriage after revealing in April she was expecting her third child.

Spears and her fiancé, Sam Asghari, said:

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent.”

Spears and Asghari have been engaged since September of last year, and first announced the pregnancy in April—around five months after Spears’ 13-year-long conservatorship came to an end.

Here’s what she shared on social media at the time:

“I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back… I thought ‘Geez… what happened to my stomach???’ My husband said ‘No you’re food pregnant silly!!!’ So I got a pregnancy test… and uhhhhh well… I am having a baby…”

In response to Spears’ Instagram post, Asghari commented, “We will have a miracle soon ❤️.”

Spears shares teenage sons Jayden and Preston with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Spears along with her revelation of her pregnancy, also said she hoped to stay away from the press while she was expecting.

“When I was pregnant I had perinatal depression,” Spears said. “…I have to say it is absolutely horrible.”

In June 2021, Spears claimed she couldn’t have another child because of the contentious conservatorship she was under at the time, saying that she couldn’t get an IUD removed. Following a wave of public sympathy for Spears, a judge revoked her conservatorship after more than a decade.

In their announcement, Spears and Asghari wrote that “perhaps we should have waited to announce” the pregnancy “until we were further along,” but they said that “we were overly excited to share the good news.”

They added that “our love for each other is our strength,” and “we will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.”
