Many Fox News viewers agree that Geraldo Rivera owes Andrea Tantaros a huge apology. After she filed a lawsuit against Roger Ailes, Geraldo slammed the former reporter by tweeting, “That some allegations vs #FoxNews personnel obviously false is 1 thing—That @brianstelter & other competitors embrace crap shows true intent.”
But Rivera did not stop there. He later backed Roger Ailes directly, by commenting, “I’ve known him 40 years. He’s about as flirty as the grizzly in #TheRevenant. I stand with Roger Ailes.”
Even after clearly crossing the line, Rivera decided to take things one step further, targeting Tantaros specifically.
“Lawsuit you reference is not sincere legal document,” he commented. “It is a vindictive screed designed to damage reputation & hurt feelings.”
He also brushed off the accusations against Ailes from female reporters at Fox News by tweeting, “Oh the grotesque unfairness of life.”
As it turns out, the Never Trumper was wrong about his position on Ailes. He ended up writing a long apology to the women who accused Ailes of sexual harassment, stating he was sorry for not believing them initially.
He named every single reporter—with the exception of Andrea Tantaros.
