He Thought He Was Sparing Two Robbers With Warning Shots, What Happened Instead Is Absolutely Ghoulish…

A South Carolina man was reportedly fatally shot after he fired warning shots to stop two thieves from stealing his car.

In South Carolina, Brandon Meyers, 20, and fellow thief Bobby Cason, 17, were charged with attempted grand larceny and murder. Cason and Meyers were trying to steal a man’s car when the man came out brandishing a gun.

The incident occurred outside the victim’s house and was careened out of control when the homeowner approached the suspects with his firearm, intent on using the gun to scare away the robbers.

The two suspects were in the process of stealing the victim’s car. Police claim that the two suspects had obtained the keys to the victim’s car from a previous break-in.

According to reports, the man fired two warning shots into the air to scare the thieves off. Instead, Cason and Meyers shot the man and fled. When the police arrived, they found the victim on the ground, he died from his wounds at the scene.

Spencer Pryor from the North Charleston Police Department stated that the responding officers saw the suspect vehicle rolling backward into a yard before speeding away.

“Responding officers heard gunfire as they approached the location and saw the suspect vehicle roll backward into a yard then flee the scene,” Pryor told WCSC.

Police found a male victim with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been revealed.

“The suspects fled the area, eluding police and eventually crashing in to several cars in the Forest Hills 2 neighborhood before being captured,” Pryor said.

The suspects reportedly crashed into several cars before fleeing on foot. They were captured by police shortly after.

Brendan Everett lives in the neighborhood and told reporters that the area is usually very quiet – and the whole incident was frightening. So, now a man is dead, and two young men will be in prison for a very long time.

“It’s terrifying,” said Everett, who lives in the neighborhood. “But as I said, it’s very quiet here … and it was just really frightening.”

What is the point? Why do people have to steal from other people? If you feel the need to take someone else’s property – at least have the decency not to kill them.
