In leaked footage that has been going rounds on social media, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz slammed the leadership of Democrat-run cities for abdicating their duty to address crime and homelessness after the chain shut down several stores due to safety concerns.
The CEO gave a bleak summary of the reasons why the company was shutting down 16 stores, and he specifically blamed Democrats for not doing their job to protect law-abiding citizens.
Schultz also said that the retail locations were being closed, not due to unprofitability, but because safety concerns by the stores’ employees made it impossible for the company to maintain those locations.
On July 11, Starbucks announced its plan to permanently close some of its retail stores mostly in Democrat-lead cities.
Here’s the Starbucks memo to the employees before they permanently close stores in heavy crime areas, saying, “You’re also seeing firsthand the challenges facing our communities – personal safety, racism, lack of access to healthcare, a growing mental health crisis, rising drug use, and more. With stores in thousands of communities across the country, we know these challenges can, at times, play out within our stores too. We read every incident report you file – it’s a lot.”
Leftist policies are causing nationwide harm as crime rates rise.
In videos of an alleged internal company meeting obtained by The Post Millennial editor Ari Hoffman, Schultz argued that “America has become unsafe” and noted that the stores facing closures are nevertheless “not unprofitable.”

“I don’t have to spend too much time on what’s going on in the country and how America has become unsafe. Uh, but you all read the press release over the last couple of days about the fact that we are beginning to close stores that are not unprofitable. But we’re closing stores as a result of the co-creation sessions that we’ve had. Almost 60 now. Twenty-five in the SSC and the rest in the field, and we had one yesterday in San Antonio. But, in all of those sessions, It has shocked me that one of the primary concerns that our retail partners have is their own personal safety. And then we heard the stories that go along with it about what happens in our bathrooms the issue of mental illness the issues of homelessness, and the issues of crime. And Starbucks is a window into America. We have stores in every community, and we are facing things in which the stores were not built for and so we’re listening to our people and closing stores and this is just the beginning there are going to be many more.”

“And I must say, In my view, at the local, state, and federal levels, these governments across the country and leaders, mayors and governors, and city councils have abdicated their responsibility in fighting crime and addressing mental illness.”
With inflation at a 40-year high, a baby formula shortage, border crisis, and crime wave, Americans have lost total faith in the Biden administration.

When even the wokest companies are fleeing your cities because conditions are too unsafe and unstable, you know you’ve got a problem. Fortunately, many believe the solution is clear—vote out the Democrats.
