Trump Derangement Syndrome seems to be taking it’s toll on Nancy Pelosi.
Over the last few months, the lady has proving to America she’s gone absolutely BONKERS.
Just last week, she went on stage and gave a speech for Families USA, a left leaning activist group fighting against the repeal of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). During her presentation she began repeating words, looking dazed and confused and asking the audience to please clap. She also mistakenly called John Kasich the Governor of Illinois, instead of Ohio.
Now, she is determined to impeach President Trump as soon as they can “build a case” to do so.
During comments at the National Press Club on Monday, the House Minority Leader said that while the case has not yet been fully made, she and her colleagues are employing a “scientific, methodical way” to find grounds for impeachment:
“The case is being made about the emoluments, and you have to have evidence and the rest, but the case has not fully been made.”
Democrats have said in the past that they hope to hang the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause around Trump’s neck, based on his continued ownership of hotels and other business interests while in office. It reads as follows:
“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”
Pelosi also told reporters that she’s never “recovered” for failing to find grounds to impeach President George W. Bush:
“You don’t impeach somebody because you don’t like their policies. When they break the law, that’s when you have grounds for impeachment. Perhaps misrepresenting the American people could be cause for impeachment. If so, there’s plenty of grounds right now with the current president, but it just isn’t the case.”
In the end, Pelosi lamented, “it’s very hard, impeachment. It’s very hard.”
