The one man who could have stopped an Illinois state senator’s ascent to Washington 12 years ago now calls Barack Obama the worst president in history.
Former Chicago Bears player and coach Mike Ditka, who looked like a solid if not sure bet to derail Obama in the 2004 race for U.S. Senate in Illinois before he opted not to run — and which he calls “his greatest mistake ever” — opines of the current occupant of the Oval Office:
“Obama is the worst president we’ve ever had.”
From Breitbart:
Barack Obama’s a fine man. I mean, he’s pleasant enough,” Ditka conceded. “He would be great to play golf with. But he’s not a leader.
“This country needs leadership. It needs direction. It needs somebody that steps up front. We need somebody like Ronald Reagan.”
Ditka also blasted Hillary on her racial rhetoric:
The ESPN analyst also took time to address Democrat front-runner Hillary Clinton’s claim that Republicans act in ways reminiscent of America’s “Jim Crow past.”
Ditka said her comments were “filthy” and made him want to “throw up.”
Then Ditka was asked who he would support among the current crop of candidates.
While he decried the “name-calling” in the presidential race, the Pro Football Hall of Famer offered words of support for the man the media has criticized for resorting to name-calling. “If I were to vote tomorrow,” Ditka explained, “I’d probably vote for Donald Trump.”
Da Bears!
Uh oh…will ESPN now suspend Ditka from NFL LIVE, given that they routinely suspend only conservative analysts for expressing their opinions, as they did with Curt Schilling, when he merelytweeted about radical Islam? We shall soon see. Liberals are already blasting the coach on Twitter over this…
Democrats demand ESPN “fire” Mike Ditka over “inappropriate” Obama comments with “racial overtones” https://t.co/WB5S3XcVvg
