Most people would consider you a hero if you stepped up and stopped a crime in progress. It is especially brave to help law enforcement officers catch a criminal, but the way a woman in Slovakia did it left many people shaking their heads.
The woman in Slovakia saw a robbery and decided that offering the criminal some sex was a suitable way to stall the perpetrator until the police arrived. Strangely, her unorthodox plan worked!
It was just another day at a gas station in Bratislava, Slovakia when a robber came in demanding money and causing trouble. He hit an employee, took money from the cash register, and demanded money from the safe. But then something unexpected happened. A woman appeared and decided to take matters into her own hands, quite literally.
The woman, who remains unnamed, distracted the thief with a sex act to delay his escape. According to reports, it’s unclear how the situation escalated to this point, but it worked. The thief was delayed long enough for the police to arrive and catch him in the act.
When the officers arrived, they found the man and the woman half naked on the floor. The suspect put up a fight, but he was eventually subdued by the police. He was arrested at the gas station for trying to rob it, thanks to the woman’s questionable yet effective stall tactics.
Although the woman’s methods worked in this instance, it’s not something that should be encouraged. In many states across the U.S., citizens can legally arm themselves, so using a firearm to stop a crime would be a more acceptable option.
However, in Slovakia, citizens must have a valid reason for owning a gun, and a concealed carry license is only issued if the police deem it necessary. As a result, only about 2% of the adult population holds a concealed carry license. In contrast, the United States is known to be the most armed country in the world, with all 50 states and DC allowing the concealed carry of firearms, although laws vary by state.
It’s interesting to note that in the United States, news articles about civilians stopping criminals often end differently. Civilians who stop criminals are often hailed as heroes for neutralizing a suspect with ill intentions by using a legally-owned and legally-carried gun. While the woman’s ingenuity, in this case, was effective, it’s certainly not the norm in the U.S.
All in all, this woman’s actions have left many people scratching their heads and asking how far is too far when it comes to stopping a crime. While it’s important to do what we can to prevent crime, using questionable tactics like sexual persuasion is not the answer. It’s important to remember that there are legal and responsible ways to protect ourselves and those around us.
