She Was In The Middle Of Reading A Live News Report, And Uncovered Something Absolutely Horrific….

While reading out a breaking news report of a car accident during Saturday morning’s live broadcast, a news reporter realized that one of the victims was her husband but managed to keep her composure during the entire segment.

Supreet Kaur was anchoring the IBC24 news broadcast in India Saturday morning when word broke of a deadly accident.

She told the audience about the details – three people had died and two were injured when an SUV and truck collided in Pithora. While she listened to a reporter giving more details about the tragedy over the phone, Kaur began to think that her husband, who she knew was in the area in a similar vehicle, might have been one of the victims.

Although the reporter didn’t name the three victims, Kaur realized her husband, Harsad Kawade, was among the dead from the details of the story.

“For a moment her voice trembled, but she collected herself and carried on reading the news till the bulletin got over 10 minutes later,” Ravikant Mittal, IBC24’s editor-in-chief, said Sunday.

Once the broadcast was over, Kaur emerged from the studio and broke down in tears. She called the reporter for more details from the accident site before informing her family about the accident, Mittal said.

Kaur and Kawade had been married for just over a year and lived in Raipur, Chhattisgarh’s capital.

Mittal said Kaur has been working with IBC24 since its inception nine years ago.

She already was a popular news anchor, and many people took to social media to post their admiration for her after seeing the composure and professionalism she displayed on Saturday.

“Amazing grace” was one of the many comments posted on Twitter to describe Kaur’s composure.

Because she kept a professional demeanor, viewers at home did not know that she was suffering inside. They had no inkling that she was speaking about the man she loved and had just learned she had lost. But when the cameras stopped rolling, she finally spoke how this story struck home for her.

Everyone in the studio was stunned. And they mourned for her.

IBC24 is a 24-hour private Hindi news channel that serves the central Indian states of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Their main office and studio is in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh tweeted: “Salute Supreet’s strength in dealing with her husband’s demise with extraordinary bravery & professionalism. May the departed soul rest in peace”
