“There is something massive that is underway that we don’t know about,” loyal Trump supporter Sean Hannity assured his viewers. Conservatives were shocked by news that Andrew McCabe won’t be prosecuted for his deep state betrayal. Hannity is willing to go out on a limb to make the prediction, based on rumors he heard on the breeze, but he admits “if I’m wrong, then we’re screwed.”
Something massive that we don’t know about
Hannity, along with the rest of conservative America, was floored by Friday’s announcement that Andrew McCabe will simply walk away from his part in the plot to overthrow President Donald Trump without even a slap on the wrist. The Fox host suggests its like a game of chess. One move by itself may seem strange but a good player looks further ahead to the eventual outcome.
If you play chess, Hannity notes, you have to look “five moves ahead.” If you’re a great chess player, “you have every step ahead. You know, if they do that, I’m going there, they do this, I’m going here, and then, eventually, checkmate.” That’s what he sees now. “I think what we have here is… something massive that is underway that we don’t know about.”
“All of this is coming out, is my prediction. It is going to be such a shock to the system of deep state corruption and abuse of power.” Hannity is convinced that eventually, “we will get the justice that is warranted.”
The deep state forgets who’s in charge
As Hannity points out, “the chief law enforcement officer in the country” is President Trump. “He could walk into the Justice Department and say “I want you to investigate this, this, this, this and this.” That is why they call the White House the executive branch. He’s the top administrator in charge of all government employees. He’s the CEO. Every single person in the Department of Injustice and Federal Bureau of Instigation ultimately answer to President Trump, whether they like it or not. Same with the CIA, NSA, and all the other alphabet security agencies.
As far as letting McCabe off the hook, he thinks it’s not as bad as it seems. Hannity sees the decision not to press criminal charges “in the end minor, small ball.” That’s where the “something massive” comes in. There are bigger fish to catch. “That’s not where the Attorney General and John Durham are.”
Hannity is as upset as the rest of us. “Apparently in America only conservatives get prosecuted, because these deep state operatives have not been held to account to this point.” He says, it “infuriates me even saying it.”
He admits he could be wrong, but probably isn’t. “if I’m wrong I’ll come on this program and admit it, unlike the rest of the media mob, but I don’t think I am because something else has happened today.” Hannity thinks that another controversial decision the Attorney General made indicates the probe is going in a different direction. “The Attorney General also has installed an outside prosecutor to review the case against General Flynn.”
The way Hannity figures, “General Flynn is going to be vindicated… what they have done to him is gonna end.” He says the lid’s about to get ripped off of the deep state coverup. “All of this is coming out, is my prediction. It is going to be such a shock to the system of deep state corruption and abuse of power.”
Hannity relates that he’s “being told by people that I trust that something bigger is in play. I don’t know what it is,” all he knows is that it must be something massive enough to justify the McCabe decision. He believes that Barr is trying to prove his political independence from President Trump. “From his point of view, he needs to do that. He’s not wrong to do that.” You have to look at the bigger picture.
“I think these moves that we’re now beginning to see, coupled with the little crumbs that he’s been dropping show that something really horrible has gone wrong and they now know it, and they believe it.” Otherwise, we’re all in a lot bigger trouble. “If I’m wrong, then we’re screwed.”
