An enraged liberal Instacart driver wreaks havoc on an elderly couple’s groceries after spotting their pro-police flag, exposing the dangerous consequences of unbridled progressive anger.
Life in Coons Rapids, Minnesota, has taken a dark turn for liberal Tara Plum, age 36. Despite being surrounded by a sea of conservative values, she managed to secure employment as an Instacart driver. However, Plum’s rage surfaced when she encountered a pro-police Blue Lives Matter flag at a customer’s home. Her reaction? To scrawl “F*** the police” on the receipt and intentionally crush the groceries with her car, displaying the destructive consequences of unchecked liberal anger.
This impulsive act annihilated $50 worth of groceries intended for an elderly couple. Not satisfied with merely destroying their food, Plum also felt compelled to inform them that she did it intentionally in response to their pro-police flag, which read, “Thank you, Blaine PD.” This incident occurred on December 6, 2021, with the groceries sourced from a nearby Cub Foods.
The elderly couple witnessed the entire display of Plum’s wrath. She even shouted at them before fleeing the scene, directing them to their front door wreath for the reason behind her outburst. Plum penned, “Instacart doesn’t pay employees. Sry [sic] find another slave. F*** the police.”
According to the Blaine Police Department, she also labeled the elderly couple as “racist pigs” for showing support to those who protect their community.
Since the debacle, Plum faces charges for criminal damage to property. She might even spend ninety days in jail for her aggressive behavior against pro-police citizens. Awaiting a court date, Plum must prepare to defend herself before a judge. As for the elderly couple, they received reimbursement for their demolished groceries, and Instacart terminated Plum’s employment.
The investigation of Plum’s actions continues, led by the Blaine police officers. Captain Mark Boerboom explained that to charge her with a hate crime, they must prove her actions were based on the victim’s perceived race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, or national origin.
Defiantly, Plum took to Facebook to express her feelings about the citation. She rationalized her behavior by claiming she wasn’t paid for the delivery, and the customer was reimbursed by Instacart. However, Plum admitted that she could have simply left without causing damage.
After the incident, Plum proceeded to her next Instacart delivery, only to find that these customers also supported the local police. Furious, she sped off to a nearby pizzeria to order food for herself. The couple, whose groceries Plum destroyed, contacted the police, resulting in her receiving a second strike with Instacart. She now attends counseling through an employee assistance program and is on a one-year probation with the company.
In an email to The Pioneer Press, Plum finally expressed remorse, admitting her actions were wrong and that she shouldn’t have directed her anger at innocent people. She acknowledged the need to take responsibility and mature.
“I understand that what I did was wrong, and I’m sorry for my actions,” Plum said in an email. “I let my anger get the best of me, and I shouldn’t have taken my frustration out on innocent people. This was a harsh reminder that I need to take responsibility for my actions and be more mature.”
