They Sold Her Young Daughter An Extremely Racy Dress, And She Ripped Them To Absolute…

You need an I.D. to buy cigarettes or alcohol, but should you need it to buy clothing? Well, one outraged mother thinks so.

Vanilla Bella Boutique is known for creating gorgeous dresses and featuring the products on its TikTok profile, which has more than 655,000 followers.

The brand shared a bizarre interaction it had with a customer who was upset after their daughter purchased one of the dresses and got in trouble for wearing it at school.

The mother was fuming and told Vanilla Bella, that her daughter ordered it without her permission.

“My daughter ordered from you without my permission and got dress coded,” the outraged mother said.

The mother felt that the store should not be selling “dresses like that” in the first place and that they should make it a policy to ask customers for identification before selling them the racy outfit.

The boutique’s owner responded: “Oh no, I’m so sorry! If you send it back, we can refund you!”

However, the offer of a refund did not appease the woman, who said they should have asked her daughter for ID and questioned why they were selling ‘dresses like that’ in the first place.

The brand representative was apologetic for what happened to the girl, but reiterated that most of the mini dresses for sale “are intended to be worn for special events or going out”. Not school.

“Since we are an online business and the card went through, we don’t ask for an ID,” they said.

The woman doubled down on her criticism, telling the spokesperson, “you shouldn’t be selling those revealing dresses like that”.

She also confirmed that her daughter had bought it on her own bank card.

Unfortunately for the mother, most people agreed that it’s not the boutique’s responsibility to monitor whether their clients are wearing the outfits to learn algebra.

Understandably, the thousands of comments on the video were mostly in support of the boutique.

“How are you supposed to monitor all of the sales that come through you? How about parents monitor what their kids are buying better?” one person wrote.

“Not your fault where they wear it or their age. You’re being too nice by offering a refund. Your stuff is great btw!” another said.
