The White House’s Chief Economist is protecting Joe Biden’s reputation by telling kids’ stories to a bunch of highly educated grown-ups.
During a press briefing at the White House on Monday, Jared Bernstein, Biden’s senior economic adviser was pressed by Newsmax White House correspondent James Rosen for Joe Biden taking no blame for record-high gas prices, but taking credit for a recent dip.
Bernstein got flamed in the press briefing room for blaming Putin for high gas prices while simultaneously giving Biden credit for when gas prices dip.
Here’s what Newsmax reporter James Rosen asked Bernstein:
“Aren’t you having it both ways, Jared? Because when the gas prices go up, it’s got nothing to do with the president. When we see some decline, you want him to get the credit.”
“Uh, uh, uh look, I think that there’s no both way thinking here at all,” Bernstein said as he nervously swayed back and forth.
WLT commented about Biden’s trip to Saudi:
Biden hid at the White House all day while his goons fielded questions and took the heat for his disastrous trip to the Middle East.
Joe Biden arrived at Joint Base Andrews Saturday evening at 11:25 pm ET empty-handed after a fruitless trip to the Middle East.
The Saudis told Biden to pound sand after he begged for oil.
On Saturday the Saudi Minister of State told CNN that the regime refused to commit to boosting oil production.
After begging the Saudis for oil, the price of oil per barrel spiked on Monday.

Rosen pushed back on Bernstein.
“Earlier it was Putin’s fault. When they’re coming down, [Biden] gets the credit,” Rosen said.
“Yeah, I very much disagree with that framing, I think what’s happening here is a president who is working tirelessly to address” this for families, Bernstein said glancing down at his notes as he struggled to defend Joe Biden.
