A peaceful protest of the demolition of a church in Paris turned surprisingly violent, when a supposedly peaceful protestor attacked another in a vicious assault. According to the Daily Mail, video of the incident has been making the rounds on social media, and it’s a truly disturbing scene.
A group had gathered to peacefully protest the demolition of Saint Rita’s Church, a church that was constructed way back in 1900. The group consisted of Catholic fundamentalists, and things were going off without a hitch when a bystander suddenly took umbrage with a member of the group.
The bystander completely sucker punched the unsuspecting victim, who had absolutely no idea it was coming. The assault would not end there, as the attacker continues to attack the now unconscious man, and he even appears to attempt to pull him into the street.
It’s unclear exactly what prompted the unprovoked attack, but the person who took the video alleges that he was playing music loudly on his mobile device, and that he was subsequently “chastised for his rudeness” by a “soldier of Christ”
No word on the extent of the injuries to the victim, and no arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.
