A United Airlines pilot was removed from his position after he was caught running six brothels and employing around sixty prostitutes, police in Texas said.
Houston police said that they have arrested 51-year-old Bruce Wayne Wallis, after being accused of running brothels in private houses through the city.
Wallis was charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution and engaging in organized criminal activity. He was booked into the Harris County Jail, and his bail was set at $15,000.
According to the police investigation, Wallis was operating about six apartment brothels with six to ten women in each.
Wallis advertised his brothels on the Internet, and he charged the prostitutes $400 a week to work at his facilities. United Airlines said that it acted immediately to remove the pilot from his position.
Wallis has been removed from planes, but he is still employed by the company.
