WOW! Jeff Bezos Just Ripped Sleepy Joe A New One!

On Saturday, Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos took Twitter to slam Joe Biden for demanding gasoline companies in lowering their prices, accusing old Joe of either employing “misdirection” or of displaying a “deep misunderstanding” of economic fundamentals.

It seems Biden is making enemies with the richest man in the world, after Elon Musk comes Jeff Bezos who is obviously not a fan of him.

Here’s what Biden tweeted Saturday causing major uproar online, “My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril.”

He also asked the companies to immediately bring down the prices they are charging at the pumps in order to reflect the cost they pay for the product.

In response to Biden’s tweet that gas station should bring down their prices due to the world being in war and peril Bezos replied by saying “Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this.”

More details of this story from Fox Business:

After President Joe Biden called on companies running gas stations to lower the price of gas, Jeff Bezos accused the U.S. president of misleading the public or said he lacked a “basic” understanding of the forces that actually drive prices.

“Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this,” Bezos said in a tweet Saturday evening.

In the initial tweet, Biden made a direct appeal to gas stations and encouraged them to simply charge less for gasoline.

“My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril. Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product,” Biden said Saturday morning.

Red State dropped some details:

On Saturday, Joe Biden found a new target to blame for rising gas prices. After spending months blaming Vladimir Putin and the oil companies, it was now time for gas stations to take a turn. The president unleashed a threatening statement, proclaiming this a “time of war and global peril,” demanding prices be lowered.

The economic ignorance on display was simply breathtaking.

You don’t have to be the President of the United States to understand that gas stations make very little off a gallon of gas. Their margins often come in at just a few cents, with them making most of their money on convenience store items. I thought that was common knowledge, but no assumption is safe when dealing with Biden.

Gas stations are also often locally owned, and even if they aren’t, they are at the mercy of the cost of supply. Contrary to the president’s attempt to make it seem like big corporations are colluding to raise prices, there is actually heavy competition that prevents such. It would be impossible for all the different owners of gas stations to secretly collude to keep prices high because there would always be one station willing to go down by five cents just a quarter-mile down the road.

While Biden and his administration have frequently blamed the increase in prices for gasoline and other items on “Putin’s Price Hike,” the supply chain and inflation woes of the country began long before Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine in February.

So Biden should stop sleeping and start doing his job well, otherwise, America will be doomed.
