On Sunday Social Media giant, Twitter announced that it had banned the personal account of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for multiple violations of the platform’s COVID-19 misinformation policy.
Donie O’Sullivan, a CNN reporter confirmed it in a Twitter post:

Last month the Georgia Republican’s account was permanently suspended under a “strike” system Twitter launched in March.
The system uses artificial intelligence to identify posts about COVID-19 that are misleading enough to cause people harm.
Two or three strikes result in a 12-hour account lockout; four strikes prompt a one-week suspension, and five or more can have a person permanently removed from the social media site.
Ms. Greene is the first member of Congress to have a personal account permanently suspended.
In a statement on the messaging app Telegram, Greene blasted Twitter’s move as un-American. She wrote that her account was suspended after tweeting statistics from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, a government database that includes unverified raw data.
“Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth,” Greene said. “That’s fine. I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies.”
Twitter had previously suspended Greene’s personal account for periods ranging from 12 hours to a full week. The ban applies to Greene’s personal account, @mtgreenee, but does not affect her official Twitter account, @RepMTG.

Greene’s official representative account on Twitter, which represents the freshman from Georgia, is still operational.
It is not like she didn’t see this coming. Greene has been pushing the social media platform on this action for a while now, so expect to see her more on the alternative platforms sooner rather than later.
Don’t be surprised if other major platforms start removing her like they have done major conservative voices, as they all work in tandem when an action like this happens.
