They Banned Them From Singing The National Anthem, So Fans Do THIS Instead [VIDEO]

Sporting events have always been a place for displaying national pride. The national anthem has been a historical opening to many events, with athletes and fans pausing to show respect for the country and hear unique renditions of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

That changes last year, when a softball game between Louisiana-Lafayette and Baylor was slated to start without the national anthem being played.

The game was the culmination of the Lafayette regional NCAA Softball Tournament, and event attendees were told that because it was the third game of the day, their would be not national anthem. But fans weren’t having any of that.

The fans at Lamson Park encouraged the event announcer to play the song while the teams were warming up. When those attempts failed, fans decided to belt out their own acappella rendition of our country’s anthem.

Even the team stopped warming up to pay tribute to our country, and the performance was met with enthusiastic applause.
