A transgender California inmate, Hannah Tubbs who was convicted of molesting a child, has been charged with murder.
On Tuesday, the first-degree murder charge out of Kern County comes after authorities recently charged 26-year-old transgender in connection to a 2019 robbery.
Tubbs became the center of controversy earlier this year when she pleaded guilty in connection with a 2014 assault on a young girl inside a Denny’s restaurant bathroom when she was just weeks from turning 18. Prosecutors said Tubbs grabbed the girl by the throat, locked her in a stall, and put her hand down the girl’s pants.
Thanks to Soros-backed Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón she was only sentenced to 2 years in a juvenile facility.
But this time, Tubbs will not be able to dodge this first-degree murder charged agaisnt him in connection with a 2019 robbery in Kern County.
Tubbs killed and robbed a man, identified as Michael Clark, in 2019. She was charged under her former name, the complaint shows. Tubbs was arraigned Tuesday in Bakersfield and pleaded not guilty. Bail was set at $1 million.
