No matter how sensational a story is, the left-leaning mainstream media will squash it like a bug if it doesn’t fit their liberal narrative. They have been sitting on a story about the potential assassination of President Donald Trump for over a week. If it had been Barack Obama in the cross-hairs, you can be sure you wouldn’t hear anything else.
On January 3, Chauncy Lump grabbed his loaded AK-47 and started a Facebook Live video for his “BlackMan Vs America” channel, with “white cream on his face, a towel on his head wrapped like a turban, and what appeared to be a shower curtain over his body,” the criminal complaint notes. Strange Middle Eastern music can be heard in the background.
Lump raved on and on while brandishing an assault rifle which court documents describe as loaded. President Trump, he jabbered, “killed my leader, and I have to kill him.” At one point, lump babbled, “I need to find the Donald, because if I don’t find him, I am going to have to blow up Broward County, so please tell me where he is. I don’t want to have to blow up the Broward County tonight.” They added extra charges for that.
He wasn’t concerned that the FBI might be monitoring. “The Feds are watching. I am not afraid of the Feds.” The social media platform let him rant for a full seven minutes before they pulled his plug and called authorities. Trump was mere minutes away at Mar-a-Lago at the time. When Secret Service got word, they took the “severe” threat, “very seriously.”
Police records show around 10 p.m. a detective with the Broward Sheriff’s Office got a call from a Facebook employee alerting them to the broadcast. The scanty reports available from local news outlets indicate the twenty-six-year-old was arrested, but not until the next day, and is being held on $100,000 bond.
When law enforcement arrived, Lump had a loaded, 9mm Glock semi-automatic pistol. WPTV reports, “He currently holds a concealed carry permit in the state of Florida, court records show. He is also licensed and employed as a security officer.” He’s been formally charged with making death threats against President Trump and one count of false report of a bomb.
Now that the secret service has his full attention, Lump says it was all just a joke. He admits, “I shouldn’t have did it in the first place.” He may end up facing terrorism charges for declaring that Iranian General Qasem Soleimani was his “leader.”
