Mitt Romney is officially “not invited” to CPAC this year. The rogue RINO just got “Schlapped” hard by the conference chairman. After his treacherous vote in favor of impeachment witnesses on the Senate floor, the Conservative Political Action Conference doesn’t want anything to do with him. The Utah Republican and former candidate for President once described himself as an “extreme conservative,” but actions speak a whole lot louder than words.
CPAC chairman Matt Schlapp didn’t mince words when he tweeted his disapproval with Mitt Romney for showing his true colors in the Senate impeachment hearing. Though claiming to be an “extreme” conservative, his actions show he’s only a Republican in name only RINO, and really a Democrat in disguise.
“BREAKING: The ‘extreme conservative’ and Junior Senator from the great state of Utah, @SenatorRomney is formally NOT invited to #CPAC2020,” Schlapp posted.

Senator Kelly Loeffler called Romney out on Twitter last Monday, posting, “Sadly, my colleague @SenatorRomney wants to appease the left by calling witnesses who will slander the @realDonaldTrump during their 15 minutes of fame.” Club for Growth even released an ad accusing Romney of “joining forces” with Democrats.
Rounding up the RINO’s
Only two Senators broke party ranks to vote in favor of dragging out the kangaroo court with unnecessarily testimony. The other was Susan Collins of Maine. Republicans Lisa Murkowski and Lamar Alexander had been thinking about it, but changed their minds, effectively neutralizing the threat.
All four of the Republicans said they wanted to hear more about the Ukraine issue, especially from former national security adviser, John Bolton. Republicans threatened to call Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden as witnesses in response. Since there’s no way that was ever going to happen, the Democrats gave up. Now, they’re just waiting to go home and sulk.
Since the Democrats couldn’t even get enough votes to allow witnesses, they don’t have any chance at all in securing a two-thirds majority to impeach. It’s all over and President Donald Trump has been cleared of all charges, since there really weren’t any to start with.
CPAC loves President Trump
The annual conference has been described as “a major gathering for the president’s supporters” and for the past three years, Trump has been the featured speaker. Romney used to be a regular fixture, including the time he labeled himself “severely conservative” in 2012. At the time, he was apologizing for his loss to Barack Obama.
President Trump calls Romney a “pompous a–” and a “fool” on Twitter. “Somebody please wake up Mitt Romney and tell him that my conversation with the Ukrainian President was a congenial and very appropriate one, and my statement on China pertained to corruption, not politics,” he tapped out in October. “If Mitt worked this hard on Obama, he could have won. Sadly, he choked!”
Those expected to give presentations at this year’s conference include California lawmaker Devin Nunes, Brexit leader Nigel Farage, and conservative diva Candace Owens.
