Former Disney Channel star is not happy about the mask mandate enforced in her children’s Tennessee school district.
A video surfaced on Thursday reportedly showing the “Good Luck Charlie” actress attending the Williamson County Board of Education meeting on Tuesday — and where she went on an anti-mask rant. She was against the district reinstating a mask requirement for students.
The 49-year-old Baker began her speech,
“My name is Leigh-Allyn Baker, and I’m a California refugee. I gave up everything there: a really successful Hollywood career, television shows. I gave it all up for freedom and to come to this friendly place in Tennessee and be greeted with open arms, and I love it here.”
Baker explained that she’s the mother of two vaccine-injured children.
“I wanted to tell you that I have two vax-injured children and they have medical exemptions after the seizures and the hospitalizations after all of their immunizations. I was granted, obviously, a medical exemption. So my children are those rare children that will just not be able to get the vaccine,” Baker continued. “And still, I would never put them in a mask because their brain needs oxygen to grow, which the neurologists can confirm. Anyway, the real part of the clown show is that you all think that you actually have the authority to mandate this.”

She added, “There are these books that I have, and I have them as a gift for you. The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Federalist Papers, and also the Bible, and these guarantee my freedom and yours and our children’s to breathe oxygen.”
In the end, the Williamson County School Board voted 7-to-3 to require masks once again in elementary schools.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office also announced it would investigate the meeting after now-viral videos began circulating on social media, showing a confrontation outside the building between people who were for and against the mandate.
The speech drew an eruption of applause from the crowded meeting and has gone viral online.
Despite the tremendous outpouring of parents against mask mandates, the Williamson County Board of Education has approved a temporary mask mandate, which will begin Thursday and run until at least Sept. 12.
Also on Thursday, Baker followed up anti-mask speech by posting the Williamson County’s Student Face Covering Exemption Request form to her official Instagram page. She captioned the post with, “Hey Tennessee! Fill it out! Show your face!
