Before I tell the story, let me get all of my laughter out.
Okay, I’m better now. For a few minutes, then I’ll need to laugh at Dennis again.
Dennis Slaton got what was coming to him, finally, when he kidnapped a woman whom he intended to rape and do who knows what else to. Slaton, a 61-year-old pervert with a long rap sheet, did not expect the would-be victim to fight back but learned quickly she doesn’t play that shit.
Slaton who is a registered sex offender picked the woman up in August and took her to his home at knifepoint to force her to have sex with him.
Slaton was behind the wheel of his white Ford F-150 pickup truck when he encountered the woman at a Spinx gas station on South Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville on the evening of Aug. 8, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
Slaton began to rape the woman, threatening to kill her if she told anyone or tried to escape. The woman fought back and took a bite out of crime, clamping her teeth down tightly on the man’s genitals, severing them from his body.
The woman took the knife from Slaton’s hand, stabbed him in the buttocks, and fled into the street, naked and covered in blood.
“During the assault, the woman severed Slaton’s penis, used the knife he threatened her with to stab him in the buttocks, and ran as he chased her through the house”, the report said.
She ran to a neighbor’s home who refused to open the door but called the police. She ran a half-mile down the road to a Waffle House. Employees gave her clothes and called 911.
Slaton denied the accusations, but admitted to the injuries, telling The Greenville News: “It was pretty bad, pretty tragic, what happened to me. If things had not transpired as they had, I would have been found here at my house dead.”
Slaton faces charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnap, as per court records. He was released on a $75,000 bond.
That said, Slaton is a registered sex offender with multiple prior convictions in Georgia and South Carolina for attempted rape, sodomy, and “peeping, voyeurism, or aggravated voyeurism,” since 1989.
