San Jose Fire Department is under FIRE after a video was posted online of a woman in a bikini getting out of a fire truck and entering a San Jose strip club.
The now-viral video was posted on Oct. 6 by the Instagram account SanJoseFoos. In it, the scantily clad woman exits the back of the truck, which has its lights flashing. She twirls and strides into the Pink Poodle strip club on platform heels.
“Only in San Jose do you see a stripper come out of a fire truck,” the caption read. The post has racked up more than 16,000 likes.
The video has caused an uproar across San Jose, especially among the fire department and mayor’s office.
KTVU reached out to the department regarding the video and the department’s chief, Robert Sapien Jr., responded, “An investigation has been initiated to determine facts surrounding the video.”
The video seemingly captures inappropriate behavior that violates the San Jose city code of ethics. Sapien told KTVU that “appropriate steps will be taken to address the matter.”

The viral video attracted plenty of online commentaries and now even the San Jose mayor had to say about it.
“She probably has 2 jobs. Firewoman during the day, Poodle at night. Times are tough,” said one commenter.
“I would be hell scared to climb out of that truck with those heels, would have just twisted my ankle,” said another.
“Fireman had a shift on his birthday, and the boys handled it,” another person wrote.
Someone else wrote, “She was warming up on the poles at the station.” If that were true, the San Jose Fire Department would be in even more trouble than they currently are.
Neighbors were shocked. “What do you say? I mean my mouth dropped. And she had no clothes on,” nearby business owner Vince Grimaldi told KTVU. “What is she doing inside the fire truck? And who is running the fire truck, and who is in charge and why did they allow this? Somebody is in trouble.”
San Jose mayor Sam Liccardo was not pleased and pledged an investigation.
“If the investigation concludes that this video is as bad as it looks, then heads must roll,” Liccardo told the station. “We cannot have a life-critical emergency rescue apparatus relegated to a frat party bus, nor tolerate any conduct that so demeans the heroic work of the rest of our SJFD team.”
