Prominent Lib Alan Dershowitz: AFTER 60 YEARS ‘I will leave the Democrats…’

Today, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) will make one of the most important choices the DNC has ever had to make -who will be the new chairman?

Prominent lib Alan Dershowitz has a history with speaking on antisemitism, and has stated several times in his interviews with the media that it is not a term that should be tossed around lightly. In fact, he came to defend Steve Bannon against allegations that he is an ‘anti-semite’ stating:

“It is not legitimate to call somebody an anti-semite because you disagree with their policies.”

With that said, Dershowitz’s statements about Ellison are truly eye opening.

The famed lawyer is so sickened by Ellison’s association with Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, he proclaimed after six decades of membership that he will leave the party if Keith Ellison is elected as DNC chair.

Here is his reasoning:

“There has been powerful push from the hard-left of the Democratic Party, led by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), to elect Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) chairman.  If he is elected, I will quit the party after 60 years of loyal association and voting.  I will become an independent, continuing to vote for the best candidates, most of whom, I assume, will still be Democrats.  But I will not contribute to the DNC or support it as an institution.

My loyalty to my country and my principles and my heritage exceeds any loyalty to my party.  I will urge other like-minded people — centrist liberals — to follow my lead and quit the Democratic Party if Ellison is elected chairman.  We will not be leaving the Democratic Party we have long supported.  The Democratic Party will be leaving us!”

Looks like tomorrow, Democrats must choose between electing Ellison or keeping centrist liberals who support Israel.

Let’s hope Professor Dershowitz does leave the Democratic Party –- and makes good on that promise to encourage others to do the same.

  • the gap between the middle left, and the hateful, vile left of left of left, is getting bigger, and wider, and deeper. all the time. if the left can not see this. or fix it in any way they will find that a house divided among itself cannot stand.
