On Wednesday, in an effort to protect our children from permanent gender reassignment surgery and woke gender theory in sports, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed bills restricting child sex-change surgeries, and male participation in women’s sports.
Ducey signed a bill into law banning gender-reassignment surgeries for minors, which makes exceptions for children born with sex disorders or other medically verifiable issues.
Below are the Senate Bills signed by Ducey:
- Senate Bill 1138, which “delays any irreversible gender reassignment surgery until the age of 18.”
- Senate Bill 1165, “creates a statewide policy to ensure that biologically female athletes at Arizona public schools, colleges, and universities have a level playing field to compete”
The same day the Bills were signed, Arizona’s next Governor, Trump-endorsed Kari Lake, released a statement thanking Republican legislators for getting the job done.
Lake has been an outspoken champion of this conservative legislation.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the boat, as we all expected the radical left in Arizona had a meltdown over this new legislation.
The sick and perverted Democratic Party expressed outrage over these bills to protect our youth. They went online to show their support for “transgender youth.”
Today, Republicans chose to attack transgender youth, roll back reproductive health care and voting rights all while ignoring the real problems facing our state.

Democratic State Senators also rallied on the capitol lawn, holding signs that said, “Protect trans youth.”
