A photo retweeted early Thursday by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has escalated the war of words between Trump and rival Sen. Ted Cruz over their spouses.
The fuss started when Twitter user Don Vito, a Trump supporter, tweeted an unflattering picture of Heidi Cruz next to a more flattering image of Melania Trump, a former model. “No need to spill the beans,” read part of the text with the photos. “The images are worth a thousand words.”
Don Vito tweeted the image with a message that read, “Cruz started the feud! Mess with a bull, you get the horns.”

Cruz has said he had no connection with the anti-Trump Super PAC about Melania Trump. Trump said he does not believe that.
