After days of hypothesis and intense examination, a warrant from police in Baton Rouge has revealed exactly why the cops used deadly force against Alton Sterling, and this new information changes everything.
This is sure to upset Black Lives Matter…I mean, aren’t police guilty until proven innocent? Judging by all the back-lash from this story, you would think so.
Protests across the country have erupted into violence due to this shooting, but there are two big reasons that Alton Sterling is dead, proving just how wrong these protests are.
A detective investigating the shooting of Alton Sterling submitted an affidavit in order to obtain a search warrant. In that affidavit, he revealed exactly why Officer Blane Salamoni and Officer Howie Lake shot Alton Sterling. According to the Chicago Tribune the affidavit reads:
“While the officers were attempting to subdue the subject the officers observed the butt of a gun,” the affidavit says. It goes on to say, when they saw him attempt to reach for the gun, one officer fired, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Sterling was approached by the officers on July 5th after a call to police said a black man in front of a convenience store had threatened them with a gun.
According to the Daily Mail, “The affidavit then says when [the officers] ‘contacted the subject’ they ‘gave him direct orders to place his hands on the hood of a nearby vehicle.‘ When Sterling didn’t comply with the order, the officers attempted to restrain him and then used a taser, the affidavit says.”
The first of two cell phone videos shows the cops throw Sterling to the ground in their attempt to restrain him. Both videos show Sterling resisting arrest. Sterling was well over 300-pounds, and he is seen fighting the officers even after being tasered.
At that moment one officer yelled, “He’s got a gun! Gun! You f****** move and I swear to God.” Sterling kept moving, and shots were fired. When the officer saw the gun in his pocket at that point, he didn’t even have to tell Sterling not to move because he was clear to use deadly force for his own safety and those around him.
After the shooting, one officer reached into Sterling’s pocket and retrieved the gun. This proves he had a gun, and Sterling’s actions of resisting arrest make the shooting lawful. This video is very graphic and might be disturbing to some viewers, but it proves Sterling had a gun and was resisting arrest.

This looks bad, especially watching it from a crappy phone from a crappy angle…but the damage is done. Sterling is dead, and when people ask you what you think about it…don say a damn thing.
Did anyone know the police side of the story before the BLM started condemning? No. Did they even want to hear it? No.
So how about we do something that is brand new to today’s society…how about we WAIT. Wait for ALL the evidence to come in, and the judge or jury to give the verdict.

Yeah, How much do the cops weigh in at? 250# 275#. I think the one felt the gun because afterwards he had to go semi deep to retrieve it and was the taser making him jumpy? I heard those things make you dance around some,so when they say lie still, you can’t cause electricity is making you jump, so as one is tasing the other, with the gun, thinks this guy is going for the gun. But maybe he was to lose it so as not to be charged with having an illegal weapon on his person, not shoot at police. But what the mind tells the body, that taser has other plans.

This article is stupid as hell. There should be no justification for the police to kill almost 600 people and we are beginning July. Even if he was reaching for his gun, which its a he say she say situation. But lets say he was reaching for it, you have 2 officers on him. If you have to fire your weapon, you shoot to disarm so that man can face justice in the court of law. Thats what the Justice system is in place for.

This changes nothing. Whatever happened before, the man was not shooting at them or trying to. People call in false complaints all the time for revenge or as pranks. This is just people trying to make excuses for marching along to the slaughter. If you have an open carry gun law people are going to have guns on them so train your officers to proceed knowing the possibility of a gun could be involved. This changes absolutely nothing. Where in “use of force” is it acceptable to shoot someone 4 times at point blank range. Let me put this simply, if they had not tazed him, and they had double tapped him, they could (falsely) say that the actions they took were necissary under the circumstances, and they used no more force than was necissary to protect themselves from an armed assailant. It never really matters if the officers were responding to a direct threat to their lives and others by responding in the way they trained….not to BLM anyway. If it had been another race or if they both had been killed in the line of duty….well, that would have never mattered to this terrorist group either.

I support our police but this narrative about “because they saw a gun butt in his pocket it was ok for them to shoot him” is baloney. No, if he was reaching for the gun against the orders of the police…yes. They should have tased him again first. Police need to use those things more often for “in close confrontation” and stop pulling their guns first.
