DISGRACEFUL!! Walmart REFUSES To Make Cop’s Retirement Cake

US News

Three Walmart workers in McDonough, Ga., refused to decorate a “thin blue line” cake for a police officer’s retirement party because they said it was racist.

A number of my Georgia readers alerted me to the story and on Saturday night I spoke directly with the police officer’s daughter. She asked that I not divulge her name and I’ve agreed to do that.

“I was so shocked,” she told me. “I didn’t know what to do or say or anything. I was trying not to lose my temper or make a scene.”

For the record, Walmart has confessed that most of her allegations are true.

“Our goal is to always take care of customers. But, sometimes we misstep. We’re glad we were able to connect with the family to apologize and make this right,” the retailer said in a statement.

  1. This really makes you wonder what the f%&k is wrong with some people. How is the decorations on a cake for a retiring cop, racist? Don’t know, don’t care, wasn’t there. But…as a large business operation, the manager should have made sure the cake was made as requested by the customer. That said, I can imagine how long it will take for a cruiser to arrive when this Walmart calls for police assistance. “Sorry, all members of the McDonough GA police department are currently busy with other police business (such as getting a coffee at Starbucks) and will be there as soon as is feasibly possible. This could be up to 3 hours or more. Have a very nice day and don’t forget, if this is an emergency, please call 911. Thank you
for calling the McDonough GA police services.
    Good bye.”
The Walton’s should consider replacing the cake decorating staff that refused to decorate the cake, and put on permanent leave the manager that didn’t ensure the cake would be decorated (even if
he had to get an off site bakery to do it), nor did
he consider the repercussions of the actions of his staff upon the safety and security of the business. Personal feelings aside, in this case, the business decision should have been to take care of the
    customer, by whatever means necessary.
Yes there are racist cops on both sides, but the LAW is colorblind. If a green man commits a crime, a purple, orange, or teal cop just might arrest that green man because the law is there to read and be obeyed equally by black, white, yellow, brown, red or pink people, and all blends of the colors. The law is the law. It does not discriminate.
