Charlie LeDuff was interviewed by Tucker Carlson regarding Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer lying to the people of Michigan about a trip to Florida during a time when she was telling everyone in Michigan not to travel.
Local reporter LeDuff has been trying to get to the bottom of what happened when Whitmer and others flew down to Florida and have uncovered new details.
LeDuff said that he’s been investigating Whitmer’s trip to Florida and blows the doors open with new information that Whitmer never called for police protection during her trip, as the segment begins with a clip of Whitmer telling everyone to “do their part” to stop the spread of COVID. It was also confirmed that Whitmer also took her health director with her.
Leduff said that Whitmer should be an example for Michigan people, however; she failed to do it.

It was reported that two of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s top health officials left the restrictive state of Michigan to vacation in free southern states despite warnings from the state’s governor to stay home and stay safe.
Her Chief Operating Officer Trish Foster flouted her restrictions and recommendations by traveling to Florida with her family, where they were seen in photos without masks and without social distancing.
After Foster’s travel revelation, it was also found out that Whitmer’s newly appointed HHS Director Elizabeth Hertel also travelled to the free state of Alabama for a vacation with her family. It was later reported that Hertel was vaccinated, but Hertel had only received one dose of the vaccine before leaving the state for a little R & R.
The Governor sent a response to the report about her HHS Director heading south when the state of Michigan was experiencing a huge surge in COVID cases by saying, “I’m not going to get distracted by partisan hit jobs on my team,” and added “There have never been travel restrictions in Michigan. What directors do on their time is their business so long as they are safe, which is what we’re asking everyone in the state to do.”
It turns out Whitmer was also secretly vacationing in Florida while telling residents of her state to stay home to prevent the spread of COVID. No wonder the governor wasn’t overly concerned about her two top health officials leaving the state while COVID cases were surging to record levels
It was reported by MI GOP that according to MIRS News Governor Whitmer made the trip about a month ago that was confirmed by the governor’s office. This was confirmed in her office
This travel contradicts the governor’s Administration’s 14 months of shutdown orders, lockdowns, and calls for Michiganders to stay home to stay safe.
“Gretchen Whitmer’s blatant display of hypocrisy is an insult to every single Michigander impacted by her lockdown orders and travel warnings,” said Ted Goodman, Communications Director of the Michigan Republican Party. “Not only did Whitmer and her top staffer’s vacation to Florida, but they tried to keep it a secret because for Whitmer, it’s—rules for thee, but not for me.”
