A recently discovered video shows the leading candidate to replace Donna Brazile as the head of the country’s Democratic Party, a Muslim Congressman, spouting Anti-Semitic rhetoric, even going so far as to agree that Jews “benefitted” from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Many Democrats are on Capitol Hill and are pushing for Rep. Keith Ellison, a Democrat from Minnesota to be Brazile’s replacement as head of the Democratic National Committee.
Ellison was recently endorsed by Senators Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid and even Bernie Sanders.
In the leaked video, he is shown speaking to a group of people and pushing the conspiracy theory that the Jews were behind the World Trade Center attacks.
Ellison compared the Islamic terrorist attacks on 9/11 to the “Reichstag fire” of 1933.
“The thing is, that the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the communists for it,” Ellison said. “And it put the leader of that country [Hitler] in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted,” he said.
It makes no difference whether or not Ellison is a Muslim, but that they would choose a man who defends Louis Farrakhan and compared George W. Bush to Adolph Hitler, and receives donations from the terrorist-connected Council on American-Islamic Relations is reprehensible.
Earlier this year, he posted a picture of a trip he took to Palestine and pointed out a hand-made sign that read “Caution: This was taken by Israel. You are entering apartheid.”
When Senator Chuck Schumer endorsed Keith Ellison for DNC chair, an article on the conservative website Frontpage Magazine asked, “Why is Senator Schumer in favor of putting an extremist with a history of defending anti-Semitic bigotry who believes that Israel is an Apartheid State in the key position at the DNC?”
Joel Mowbray, a consultant to Jewish groups, expressed similar feelings in an interview with CBS New York.
“(H)is vile beliefs… ought to disqualify him outright,” he said. “If Chuck Schumer actually did his due diligence and is supporting Ellison anyway, that’s shameful.”
