Police Learn SICK Thing San Antonio Cop Killer Did After AMBUSH Before His Arrest

US News

Seven hours before his apprehension for the brutal slaying of a San Antonio Detective, capital murder suspect Otis Tyrone McKane seen on a security film in the Bexar County Courthouse getting married. All the while this was happening, a massive manhunt for the killer was underway.

McKane, held in Sunday’s ambush murder of Det. Benjamin Marconi, was hitched to Christian Chanel Fields, who is the owner of the white Buick McKane was riding in at the time of his arrest. That arrest occurred only after the two obtained a magistrate’s waiver from the customary 72-hour waiting period after a marriage license is issued.

County records indicate the license was issued at 9:27 a.m. Monday while he was arrested a short time later that day at 4:20 p.m. with a woman and 2-year-old child in the car.

The ‘presiding judge’ who went ahead and signed the waver at he heavily secured Bexar County Courthouse was County Court-at-Law No. 9 Judge Walden Shelton. He was the authority that also performed the marriage ceremony, but refused to comment on the matter when addressed, no doubt embarrassed for his role in serving a cop-killer.

As he was being led through a crowd of reporters, on his way to be charged for capital murder late Monday, McKane said he was distressed about a child custody battle that forbid him from seeing his son:

“I lashed out at someone who didn’t deserve it…I’ve been through several custody battles, and I was upset at the situation I was in, and I lashed out at someone who didn’t deserve it…I just want to see my son.”

There was no logic swinging around in this guys head when he pulled that trigger. Animals react, and that’s exactly what he is. His maddening excuse is no excuse at all, and now another innocent law enforcement officer is dead, and his family is ripped apart forever…all because this worthless soul chose to ‘lash out’…
