Ted Cruz Was Just Asked Point-Blank to Deny Infidelity Reports… Here’s How He Responded

At a press conference in Wisconsin Monday night, Sen. Ted Cruz was asked by a reporter if he had been unfaithful to his wife Heidi, as the National Enquirer reported last week — a story that has thrown the GOP presidential race into turmoil.

Then Cruz finally gave the answer we were all waiting for.

Um…not exactly. Carly Fiorina stepped in to intervene so he didn’t have to.

Yep…you read that right. Yikes.

And then when asked again, Cruz still would not deny it.

Carly first led reporters through a littany of unrelated world events to try and minimize the question, and then tried to deflect blame on Donald Trump.

Of course as many outlets have reported, it was not Trump, but Marco Rubio campaign operativesand anti-Trump GOP consultants who shopped the Ted Cruz cheating scandal around for nearly two months — as Democrat pundit Kirsten Powers confirmed yesterday:

In fact, Gateway Pundit revealed that the Cruz campaign reportedly knew for weeks, at least since January, about the allegations. So why so flat-footed now? Can’t Cruz just deny it, sue the National Enquirer for slander and move forward?

Apparently not.

The Daily Mail reported:

Ted Cruz declined to answer a question on Monday about whether he has ever been unfaithful to his wife Heidi.

‘Senator Cruz,’ DailyMail.com asked him, ‘can you please swat down more definitively this National Enquirer piece by telling us on the record that you’ve never been unfaithful to your wife?’

But instead of making a blanket declaration that he has been faithful during the entirety of his 14-year marriage – a move that would effectively end the vicious news cycle – Cruz stood silently as campaign surrogate Carly Fiorina leapt in to intercept the question and change the subject.

I’m guessing Carly did not do Ted any favors today.

  • Don’t we already have a president that can’t lie for himself? Why would we want another one?

  • You’re all a bunch of smut mongers. If you belive the rag Enquirer (Trumps buddies) I’ll sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.

  • Ted I think this should be dropped. It is no ones business what you did in your personal life. I think we all have something that we would like to forget about. Thank you for supporting Trump.
