These Elephants Just Got Drunk On Fermented Fruit. The Results? ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!

I’ve got to admit, it’s been a long time goal of mine to go on an African Safari and check out the amazing wildlife. Fuel was only added to the fire when I heard stories about the drunk elephants stumbling around like a bunch of fools at your local bar. Lore has it that the marula fruit (same family as the mango, often used in jams, wine, beer and Amarula Liquor), begins to ferment and is consumed in mass quantity by the elephants. Another popular lore states that fruits, such as the marula or watermelon, would ferment inside the elephants stomach. Whether you believe that the animals in Africa are eating fermented fruit or there’s internal fermenting in play, the intoxicating result is the same – drunk elephants are absolutely hilarious!
