This 18-Year-Old Has Been Fooling People Into Thinking He Was A Real Doctor. No…Seriously

All right, so you want to meet someone with some brass balls? How about this kid, Malachi Love-Robinson. Despite being only 18-years old he’s been practicing medicine in Florida without a license and was arrested for it.

He was arrested after performing an exam on an undercover agent. The police were tipped of when Malachi allegedly charged an 86-year-old woman $3,500 for treating her stomach pain, according to affidavits from the West Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Additionally, he’s been accusing of stealing and cashing checks that amounted to $2,800 from the woman as well.

If you’re wondering how the hell this kid convinced people he was a doctor, take a look at his website below for the New Birth New Life Medical Center & Urgent Care, LLC.

In his staff bio he’s described as “a well rounded professional” who treats his patients “using a system of practice that bases treatment of physiological functions and abnormal conditions on natural laws governing the human body.”

What methods does he use? Oh, you know, the usual, “air, water, light, heat, earth, phototherapy, food and herb therapy.” Sounds legit. So legit that he only had to front a $21,000 bail to be released from jail on Wednesday.
Malachi was interviewed on Good Morning America and averred that these were mere accusations as he never said that he was a medical doctor.

“There are many types of degrees out there that just because someone has the title doctor in front of their name does not necessarily imply M.D.” (all right there Captain Technicality)

He did tell Good Morning America that he has a Ph.D but didn’t say in what field. My guess? Bullsh*t.
His interview was also tense AF; Malachi said that all of his medical training came as a result of shadowing a bunch of certified doctors.

“You’re saying your training comprises shadowing other doctors? Real doctors,” Gutman asked Malachi.

“Training comprises of a lot of things,” Love-Robinson responded.

“But you weren’t in med school?” Gutman said.

“Exactly,” Love-Robinson said. “I’m not portraying as an M.D. I’ve never said I’ve gone to school to be a M.D.”

The interview came to a halt when Malachi walked off set after host Matt Gutman asked if he was a fraud.
And if you think this is the first time Malachi’s pretended to be a doctor – you’re wrong. Despite being only 18 years old, he’s been caught pretending to be a doctor at New Directions in Boynton Beach Florida.

The Florida Department of Health sent a cease-and-desist letter to Malachi back in September for practicing medicine without a license, which came with a $1,253 fine. A fine he never paid.

He was finally arrested this past Tuesday because apparently Florida gives a mulligan for first time lying doctor offenses.
It gets better: Malachi held a press conference on Wednesday to clear his name, saying that he was “deeply saddened and a little disrespected [by some of] the things that have come forth.”

He asked for people in his community (including that homeless wino looking dude behind him) to “get the truth out of it and shed some of the good light about some of the things happening in the community today [and] stop worrying about bashing someone and start lifting them up.”

So he’s asking news outlets to not focus on the fact him, an 18 year old, was making tons of making lying to people about being a doctor and thinks we should report on a soup kitchen instead? Does he not know how humanity works?
