On the eve of the Jan. 6 anniversary, Fox News host Tucker Carlson blasted Senator Ted Cruz for going along with the Democrat’s narrative of what happened on January 6, 2021. Cruz called the riot “a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol,” but he later regretted it.
Carlson has gained a reputation as one of the media’s staunchest defenders of the 6 January patriots, which is currently being investigated by the so-called Congress. He expresses his frustration that everyone seems to have forgotten about Ray Epps and the mysterious role he played in inciting the storming of the Capitol.
Carlson asked:
“Remember Ray Epps? He’s on video several times encouraging crimes, riots, breaches of the Capitol on January 6th. He wasn’t on the FBI website… Hasn’t been charged with anything apparently… No one in Congress seems to care, even supposedly ‘Conservative’ Republican Senators.”
During his show, Carlson pointed out that Republican political leaders should be doing something to figure out why Ray Epps, who was actively encouraging violence somehow is not receiving any sort of repercussions or investigation. While people are being punished for being non-violent participants at the Capitol.
Carlson then calls out Republican leaders and didn’t hold back:
“What are they [the GOP] busy doing? Repeating the talking points that Merrick Garland wrote for them.”
“What the hell is going on here?” Carlson continued, “You’re making us think maybe the Republican Party is as worthless as we suspected it was.”
“Now let’s be honest,” Carlson proclaimed. “Everyone who’s conservative appreciates Ted Cruz. You may not like him. But you’ve gotta appreciate him. He’s legitimately smart. He’s one of the more articulate people to serve in Congress, maybe the most articulate.”
Carlson questions Cruz’s choice to describe the events of Jan 6 as a “violent terrorist attack”. He then poses an important question for Cruz, asking:
“[W]hy are none of your Republican friends – who are supposed to be representing us and all the people who have been arrested during this purge – saying anything?”

After spending a day being slammed by TV pundits and fellow conservatives for describing last year’s U.S. Capitol insurrection as a “violent terrorist attack,” Sen. Ted Cruz walked back his comments on Thursday.
The Texas Republican attempted to clarify his intent on FOX News program “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” calling his own words “sloppy” and “frankly dumb.” Cruz insisted he was referring only to the rioters who attacked police during the breach of the historic building.
