Marine Le Pen, France’s far-right presidential candidate and a woman people are now referring to as the ‘female Trump,’ is advancing in France’s presidential polls, and for a VERY good reason!

During a meeting with Lebanon’s top Sunni Muslim cleric on Tuesday, Le Pen was to meet with the country’s grand mufti, Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian. Upon arrival, one of the grand mufti’s aides handed her a white headscarf to put on.

Her reaction is now blowing up the internet.

Le Pen took a firm stance, and told the aide after handing her a head scarf:

“You can pass my consideration on to the grand mufti, but I am not putting the veil on.”

She then turned around, got in her car and left.

According to many leftists in Lebanon, Le Pen’s statements “were an insult toward the Lebanese Syrian people.”

However, she claimed the clergy knew about her opposition to the garments, reportedly saying:

“They didn’t cancel the meeting, so I thought they would accept the fact that I wouldn’t wear one. They tried to impose it upon me.”

Much like Mr. Trump, conservative presidential candidate Marine Le Pen has been accused of using “heated and offensive” rhetoric.

At this rate..she she may win the Presidency!
