After Elon Musk took over the company, TV host Piers Morgan had a suggestion for everyone who, in his words, had been “whining about ‘the death of Twitter,'” including celebrities.
On Friday, the 57-year-old British broadcaster tweeted to his 8.1 million followers, asking them to stop complaining about “the death of Twitter.” In his post, Morgan wrote, “Could all the people currently whining about ‘the death of Twitter’ since [Elon Musk] bought it… just leave Twitter?”
Following the veteran host’s tweet, the majority of the users agreed with Morgan, with one person writing, “…I find it funny though how folks like to claim ‘Twitter is dead’ etc. … on Twitter.”
“They said they would leave as soon as he took over but somehow, they are still here…talking about how Twitter [is] “dead” while on Twitter! Amidst reports of Twitter being “dead”, my Twitter experience has never been better,” another one said.
The third one wrote, “Instead of dying, Twitter has the largest traffic on the web comparing to other folks, also, it leads by far the number of new users comparing to old platforms. Misinformation created by the old press only shows that tweeter is doing fantastic. #eloneffect.”
And even the billionaire Tesla CEO and now the owner of Twitter, Elon Musk himself tweeted “Seriously.”

Following a barrage of complaints about his takeover from celebs such as Bette Midler, Mia Farrow, and others, as the Daily Wire has reported, Morgan made his post.
In her 2.1 million followers, Midler tweeted:
“Musk frequently talks of Twitter as ‘A digital public square’ conjuring up quaint images with equal voices exchanging ideas. That’s naive; it’s often more akin to well-resources asymmetric warfare, w/bad actors & nation states working in the shadows to manipulate the platform.”
“And amplify disinformation, in other words, a real s***show, that will instantly devolve into #RadioRwanda. And we all remember how that went.” she added in a follow-up tweet.
And in the since-deleted tweet from April, according to Newsweek, actress Mia Farrow wrote,
“Well if Twitter becomes even more toxic — with Trumpy-treasonous lies & all the hatred — it will be taken less seriously, and people like me will quit — for peace of mind.”
“You [Musk] gave us Tesla and Space X. Thank you! Hope you can keep Twitter worthy of your previous achievements and of lawful people everywhere,” she added.
