We all have a relative that reminds us of Nancy Pelosi, and they are never the ones that we enjoy seeing.
They are the one that comes to the family gatherings in the summer for the sole purpose of getting into an argument with someone over something that they were mad at decades ago.
If that person tries to make amends, they find something else to be mad at.
Pelosi shot her shot when it came to impeachment, and she failed. The issue at hand should have then been how she was able to handle it.
Nancy Pelosi recently said that impeachment was an option if Trump filled Justice Ginsburg’s seat before November. But Republican politicians aren’t about to let that happen.
“We have our options. We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now, but the fact is we have a big challenge in our country,” Pelosi said, according to Fox.
Kevin McCarthy, however, said that if Pelosi tries to impeach Trump again, he’s taking action against her.
Finally, someone willing to stand up to Pelosi.
She tried once to impeach Trump and it didn’t work. In fact, it failed miserably. So now she’s threatening to try that old song and dance again if she doesn’t get what she wants. Honestly, who does she think she is?
Being the Speaker of the House certainly holds a lot of power, but she is not above the law and must abide by them as well as the Constitution. She doesn’t get a free pass to just do what she wants if her plans don’t go the way she wants.
According to Fox, McCarthy is threatening to bring forward a motion calling to remove Pelosi from her position of power should she act on her impeachment threat.
“I will make you this one promise, listening to the speaker on television this weekend, if she tries to move for an impeachment based upon the president following the Constitution, I think there will be a move on the floor to no longer have the question of her being Speaker,” McCarthy said. “She may think she has a quiver — we do too,” Fox reported.
I love everything about this. For far too long, Pelosi has banged her gavel causing sane people to bang their heads against the wall in frustration and anger. She has already shown that she’s not afraid to abuse power, but she’s coming close to doing it again now.
It’s the president’s job to fill the seat, we know this. Democrats, though, just can’t seem to grasp it. McCarthy, however, isn’t deterred. I feel that far too many conservatives both in office and not in office just look at the evil and abuse of power on the left and do nothing about it. We cannot merely complain on social media about our frustration with those in power. The time is up for sitting on the sidelines or fighting with words. It’s time Pelosi knows Republicans aren’t going to take any more of her childish actions.
