Even Andrew Cuomo calls out the corrupt FBI raid on President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
Is it politically motivated? Well, knowing Biden, it is. And some Democrats said so.
Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo questioned the Department of Justice for authorizing the FBI to raid former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property.
“DOJ must immediately explain the reason for its raid & it must be more than a search for inconsequential archives or it will be viewed as a political tactic and undermine any future credible investigation & legitimacy of January 6 investigation,” tweeted Cuomo, who resigned in disgrace last year.

It wasn’t just Cuomo, former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang was also concerned about the signal this was sending.
“I’m no Trump fan. I want him as far away from the White House as possible. But a fundamental part of his appeal has been that it’s him against a corrupt government establishment,” Yang, who runs the Forward Party, a national political party that brands itself as a movement away from the “broken political system,” wrote on Twitter on Monday.
“This raid strengthens that case for millions of Americans who will see this as unjust persecution,” Yang wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
“It seems like this was authorized by a local judge and a particular FBI office without buy-in or notification of higher levels of government,” Yang added. “But literally no one will believe that or make a distinction. It’s probably bureaucratic but it seems political.”
More details of this bizarre reaction from Cuomo from a Newsmax report:
In a surprising turn of events Tuesday, former Democrat New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo demanded answers from the Department of Justice to explain why it sent FBI agents to raid the Florida home of former President Donald Trump.
“[The Department of Justice] must immediately explain the reason for its raid and it must be more than a search for inconsequential archives, or it will be viewed as a political tactic, and undermine any future, credible, investigation and legitimacy of Jan. 6 investigations,” Cuomo posted on Twitter Tuesday morning.
FBI agents raided Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s residence in Palm Beach, Florida, Monday, reportedly looking for boxes of “classified” materials the former president took from the White House in 2021, the New York Times reported.
I know, even though I was shocked with Cuomo:
DOJ must immediately explain the reason for its raid & it must be more than a search for inconsequential archives or it will be viewed as a political tactic and undermine any future credible investigation & legitimacy of January 6 investigations.

DOJ must disclose the bona fide nature of the August 8 action or else the republicans will use it to Discredit the Jan 6 investigation, which would be a terrible disservice to the good work of the house committee in exposing The Trump administration violations. https://t.co/KQ8AIK3DAJ

I didn’t think it would ever happen but Andrew Cuomo is 100% right here. https://t.co/oYkQ0YDkiF

I didn’t say it. It came from Democrats own liberal litter. @andrewcuomo has first hand knowledge of how prosecutors can abuse their power! @DNC @TheJusticeDept @FBI @USAttorneys #MerrickGarland https://t.co/P6fLwrE3yt

The ‘Washington Times’ has more on Cuomo’s surprising condemnation of the FBI’s actions:
Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday joined Republicans demanding FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland explain why federal agents raided former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
Mr. Cuomo, a Democrat who frequently sparred with Mr. Trump, is a surprising figure to buck his own party and call for answers after the raid.

Not surprisingly, many RINOS have yet to condemn this disgusting abuse of power.
It’s worth noting that the @SenateGOP have yet to send a single tweet on the FBI’s raid of Trump…
We need a complete redo of the @GOP https://t.co/AnLJJost6h

Multiple Democrat candidates who ran for President against Trump (Yang & Tulsi) have strongly condemned the FBI’s actions
Andrew Cuomo (!!!) just condemned the FBI
Yet Republican LEADER Mitch McConnell has remained SILENT about the storming of the HOME of a Republican President

Andrew Cuomo condemned the FBI raid on Trump before a lot of elected Republicans. https://t.co/jbpUYUgmL3

Yang and Cuomo’s Tuesday statements became the few voices from non-Republicans who questioned the nature of the raid as being political.
But Cuomo is right. If this is about the National Archives wanting documents and Democrats trying to take Trump down or prevent him from running for office, it would be an unconscionable action to do this to a former president and possible future candidate, especially when there were all kinds of other avenues to get the documents. This is a truly unprecedented action.
