She Had Crashed Her Car Violently, Then Han Solo Showed Up…

If there’s one thing we know about Harrison Ford, it’s that he’s a real-life action hero (remember: the guy’s been in plane crashes and will get up and dust himself off like Han Solo).

Well, the 75-year-old actor (during the time of the incident) proved once again why he’s Indiana Jones in the flesh when he leaped into action to help a woman in a car crash.

According to TMZ, Ford was driving behind the woman in question on California State Route 126 in Santa Paula when the incident occurred. Eyewitnesses told the publication that the lady lost control of her car and crashed into an embankment off the freeway before Ford rushed to her aid.

Santa Paula Police Department Senior Officer Matt Alonzo said the sedan had rolled over off the highway and hit a tree. Alonzo said Ford was with a friend when they heard the vehicle crash. They then pulled over and made their way to the vehicle to help the woman.

“He acted as a good Samaritan, just like everybody else, and tried to help before emergency services arrived,” Alonzo told USA Today, adding that Ford and others were able to remove the woman from the vehicle.

Ford and other bystanders helped the woman, who is said to have suffered minor injuries in the crash, get out of her vehicle safely until paramedics arrived.

This isn’t the first time the “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones” star played the hero in real life. According to People, Ford helped direct traffic in September after an accident occurred in the Midtown tunnel, causing a major pileup.

Fans were quick to applaud the actor’s actions on Twitter.
