They Just Said They Don’t Want To Learn About World War Two For An Absolutely Insane Reason…

From the time between when children start school and when they graduate from high school, there are certain subjects that they all learn. They learn things like math, reading, writing, and history. These are important subjects for students to understand the world around them and to be able to navigate life as adults.

Freddie Bentley is a British reality television celebrity who is mainly known for his appearance on the reality game show “The Circle” and for his Instagram feed. He has recently come under fire online after appearing on the TV show Good Morning Britain and arguing an unpopular opinion.

In the piece on GMB, Bentley states that children should not have to learn about WW2. In his opinion, too much time is spent on the subject. He is concerned that the emphasis on the destruction and killing of war is too much for young minds. He argued that schools across Great Britain need to go easier on their young population and stop teaching them about the deadly conflict that thrust Europe into a violent war.

“It was a hard situation, World War Two, I don’t want anyone to think I’m being disrespectful,” Bentley said. “I remember learning it as a child thinking, ‘Oh my God, it’s so intense.”

He continued: “I don’t think encouraging death or telling people how many people died in the world war is going to make it better. There’s so many problems going on in the world, like Brexit, that’s not taught in schools. When I left school it hit me like a ton of bricks – I didn’t know anything to do with life.”

With that in mind, he reckons that more kids should be taught things like – for example – how to get a mortgage.

Anyway, as you’d expect, people really kicked off about this opinion.

One person commented: “Who is this idiot on Good Morning Britain saying that the deaths WWII can cause mental”

“You need to learn respect, young man!” another person wrote.

“Are you having a laugh!” one person wrote. “Not talking about the war in school? Not educating them on what went wrong so it doesn’t happen again? You need to learn respect, young man.”

Another person wrote, “This kid on (Good Morning Britain) is an idiot. What has the Second World War got to do with mental health.”

“This made me so angry! Without people fighting that war, then idiots like this kid wouldn’t have the right to do what or be who they want! They fought for our freedom! So, learn about it, you, cretin!” another person commented.
