This Is Why Facebook Complaining About Russia Block Is Purely Hypocritical!

Uncategorized

Meta/Facebook is now whining after the Russian government restricts their access because anything that goes against Facebook’s liberal agenda will be tagged as fake news.

Russia’s communications regulator says it blocked Meta Platforms Inc’s Facebook Friday in response to what it said were restrictions of access to Russian media on its platform.

Meta President of Global Affairs Nick Clegg said that the company will do “everything we can” to restore the company’s service in Russia after the government announcement was issued, according to Fox News.

Well, Facebook is not after people’s welfare in Russia. They are whining because they will lose millions of dollars in revenue per day.

Forbes reported that Facebook will lose millions of dollars in revenue or even billions if it lasted for a year:

How much, exactly? Facebook has about 66 million users in Russia, according to Statista, a data-tracking firm. The app earned $19.68 per user in Europe last year, according to the company’s latest annual report. Meaning, it’ll lose about $3.6 million per day—or $1.3 billion for the year—from the block in Russia. For perspective, that represents a little more than 1% of Meta’s total revenue: It brought in $117.9 billion in 2021.

The Russian government said on Friday that it will begin to “partially restrict” access to Facebook, after the social network put restrictions on four Russian state-linked media outlets — the television network Zvezda, news agency RIA Novosti, and the websites Lenta.ru and Gazeta.ru.

On Friday afternoon Facebook, Meta President of Global Affairs, Nick Clegg, tweeted out that “soon millions of ordinary Russians will find themselves cut off from reliable information…”

This is rich coming from Facebook — the far left company that stifled free speech in America and destroyed the right to free speech in the USA.
