They All Saw A Pitbull Grab The Baby And Drag It Outside, What They Saw Next Will…

Let’s get one thing straight off the bat: There is no ‘dangerous dog breed’.

Over the years, it’s fair to say the Pit Bull breed has developed a somewhat unfair reputation for violence. However, if a dog behaves aggressively, it’s usually because of one or more extenuating factors, not least the fact that its owner probably hasn’t raised it correctly.

And yet though it’s logical to be cautious with dogs you don’t know, it should never be forgotten just how brave and selfless they can be when the situation arises. One eight-month-old Pit Bull, Sasha, was recently hailed a hero after performing a deed that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.

A neighborhood home caught on fire around 11 pm and it started spreading rapidly. The fire started spreading further to other buildings. Sasha went into the home and started barking and banging on the door. The owner of the pitbull, Nana Chaichanhda, opened up the door to see why the dog was acting so weird.

Nana said that the puppy will sometimes bark but won’t be as uncontrollable as she was that night. When she opened up the door the dog sprinted by and she had no idea what the puppy was running from or for. Nana looked up and saw why the dog was barking. She noticed that her cousin’s fourplex was on fire.

Once Nana realized what was happening, she immediately thought of her baby. Luckily, Sasha was one step ahead of her.

“I ran into the bedroom, where Sasha was already dragging my 7-month-old baby off the bed by her diaper,” Nana wrote. “Thanks to Sasha we were able to get out safe and call 911.”

Once firefighters showed up, they managed to save most of the building from the blaze. Unfortunately, Chaichanhda had already lost her apartment, which she shares with her cousin, to the fire. Chaichanhda, her baby, and her cousin are now staying with family who lives in one of the apartments that survived the blaze.

It will be a long time before Nana and her family are back on their feet, but for now, she is thankful that her family survived the ordeal and especially grateful to have her heroic pit bull.

“I owe her everything. If it wasn’t for her, I would have still been in bed and things could have taken a worse turn,” she said.
